Nitty has been around theatre most of her adult life and finally took the plunge in 2018 with the role of Silvia in Village Green Theatre Groups production of 'Stepping Out'. She followed that up with the role of Melanie in 'Cafe Murder' in 2019. 🐝 Introducing Chloe playing the role of Melissa "I am 22, a retired cheerleader and dancer, and lover of theatre. I started performing before I was in school, doing tap dancing and then moving on to jazz. My first play was in grade 2 when we performed the Three Little Pigs and I played Mumma Pig. Throughout school I continued to dance, and in grade 7 I was the lead role in a short film my class made for Panasonic's Kid's Witness News. We actually made the semi-finals and were runner-up finalists, winning a grant and new video camera for our school. Throughout high school I was a part of our Musical Theatre team, behind the scenes and on the stage as part of the ensemble. In 2016 I was a part of the ensemble for Grease The Arena Experience. 2017 and 2018 saw my most successful years as a competitive Allstar Cheerleader and Dancer. -Introducing Diana playing the role of Clover- In her youth, Diana was a professional dancer and dance teacher. After starting a family, she became a school teacher and for two decades Diana supported a local school, teaching young ones the art of performance and directing the end of year productions. Theatre has been Diana’s lifelong passion. Five years ago she decided to come back onto the stage, this time as an actor. In this short time she has performed with several community theatre companies and this is her twelfth production. Health issues forced Diana to step off the stage for a while. This did not deter her, instead she confidently and successfully directed and choreographed a musical/dark comedy, ‘Kitchen Diva’ for Mates Theatre Genesis. Introducing the cast of 'The Honey Bees' 🐝 Meet Annette playing the role of Joan Annette started acting in the late 40’s, as a very young child, but then it was called “lying”, She wasn’t that good, somehow her mum always knew the truth! In the late 50’s, at school, she joined the debating team and was pretty good at that! In the 60’s, while nursing in New York for a couple of years, she studied at the AADA. On return to Australia in the 70’s she continued acting with involvement in community theatre and scored a few very small roles in TV dramas. She has been part of a few different productions at the Sunnybank Theatre Group including a bogon Australian bodyguard in Tally Hall and the bride to be in Viagra Falls. Meet the Mother of Groom, Sylvia Montgomery played by Sandra Koehler: Sandra is a retired teacher who was part of the group who started VGTG in 2018 and was the founding president. She has been actively involved with the group since then as producer, management committee member and stand in. This is Sandra's first theatre acting role and she is enjoying the front line experience.
